What is the community graph?
The community graph is a map of how people are connected through relationships, trust, and ambassador activity.
What is it?
The community graph maps the connections between people in the community. It keeps three kinds of records:
- A relationship, which links a person to another person, an organization, or an event, with a relationship type and dates.
- A trust connection, which links two people and records a trust level of Low, Medium, High, or Vouched.
- An ambassador, which tracks a person's invitations, new attendees, organization connections, and trust score.
Together these records show who knows whom, who trusts whom, and who is helping the community grow.
When do you use it?
You use the community graph when you need to understand the shape of your community. You use it to:
- See who is well connected and who is new or isolated.
- Find people who can welcome and vouch for new members.
- Track ambassadors and the people they bring in.
- Plan introductions and community-building activity.
Example
The trust wants to grow its membership. Aroha opens the community graph and looks at the ambassadors. Wiremu has a high trust score and has invited several new attendees. Aroha asks Wiremu to welcome new members at the next event. She can also see that some new people have no connections yet, so she arranges for them to be introduced.
