Use the provider portal

Set up an organization's portal, publish its events, share resources, and control what the provider can do.

Purpose

The provider portal is the space where a service organization connects with the community. This guide shows you how to set up a portal, add published events and shared resources, and manage the provider's permissions.

Who this is for

This guide is for coordinators and administrators who manage portals for service organizations.

What you need

  • An organization record for the provider.
  • Access to the provider portal settings.
  • The events and resources the provider wants to share.

What you will do

  1. Create the provider portal.
  2. Link the organization.
  3. Publish the provider's events.
  4. Share resources.
  5. Set permissions.
  6. Review the portal.

Instructions

  1. Open the Provider Portal menu from the main navigation.
  2. Select New portal.
  3. Select the organization in the Organization field.
  4. Select Save.

To publish the provider's events:

  1. Open the portal record.
  2. Select Add published event.
  3. Choose an event from the organization's events.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Repeat for each event the provider wants to share.

To share resources:

  1. Open the portal record.
  2. Select Add shared resource.
  3. Add the resource, such as a document or a link.
  4. Select Save.

To set permissions:

  1. Open the portal record.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Set each permission flag to on or off for the features the provider may use.
  4. Select Save.

What happens next

The portal shows the organization, its published events, and its shared resources. The permissions control what the provider can do. People can find the provider's events and resources through the portal.
