DocsCommunity Directory
What is the directory?
The directory is the searchable list of people, organizations, and support workers in your community.
What is it?
The community directory is a searchable list of the people, organizations, and support workers in the community. Each entry points to a person or an organization and carries categories, searchable keywords, and a region.
You can search the directory by name, by category, or by keyword. You can narrow results by region. This makes it easy to find a specific service or a person near you.
When do you use it?
You use the directory whenever you need to find someone or something in the community. You use it to:
- Find a support worker or service in your area.
- Look up how to contact an organization.
- Discover what is available in your region.
- Search by what you need, not just by name.
Example
Wiremu needs a mobility advisor in his region. He opens the directory and searches for the keyword "Mobility". The results show two support workers in his region. He opens one entry, reads the contact details, and calls to make an appointment.
