Use the community directory

Find people, organizations, and support workers in the community and get the contact details you need.

Purpose

The community directory helps you find people, organizations, and support workers. This guide shows you how to search the directory, narrow results, and open a record to get the details you need.

Who this is for

This guide is for community members, families, support workers, and coordinators who need to find someone or something in the community.

What you need

  • Access to the Community Directory.
  • A search term, such as a name, a category, or a keyword.
  • The region you want to search, if you need a local result.

What you will do

  1. Open the directory.
  2. Search for what you need.
  3. Narrow the results.
  4. Open a record.
  5. Get the contact details.

Instructions

  1. Open the Community Directory from the main navigation.
  2. Select the Search box.
  3. Type a name, a category, or a keyword, such as "Kaiako" or "Counselling".
  4. Press Enter to search.

To narrow the results:

  1. Select a category from the Categories list.
  2. Select a region from the Region list.
  3. Review the results and read each entry's summary.

To open a record:

  1. Select the entry you want to read.
  2. Review the contact details and the categories.
  3. Select Contact to see the contact method.
  4. Note the region and any searchable keywords.

What happens next

You have the details you need to contact the person or organization. The directory stays searchable, so you can return and search again whenever you need another result.
